Poor food even by airport standards. The staff was awesome though!

Horrible horrible chicken enchiladas. Tasted gross and was cold, very unseasoned.

I left hungry because the food I ordered was so bad I couldn't finish it. The service was friendly, but extremely slow. Do yourself a favor and eat at any other place in the airport even if you have to go back through security.

Expensive and extremely bland. Service was as bad as the food. The waiter seemed to have WAY too many tables than he could handle. The only reason we even came here was because Pig and Pickle had a wait to get a table.

Chicken tacos no good

Not sure how they’ve gotten away with calling this a “mexican” restaurant. Everything tastes like it’s from a can, like best choice brand canned food. The chicken enchiladas are a joke, they didn’t even cook the corn tortillas before serving them and then they smothered them in the nastiest green chili “salsa.” Service was horrendous as well. Some of the waitresses you could tell were actually trying to make it better, but others it was like they were being forced to work there. Very disappointing considering this is one of two restaurants to choose from at the airport (post security) Taco Bell does a better job at “mexican” food than this place does.

I'm sorry to do it but I have to join the chorus of wishing I had read the reviews before eating there. The food is as bad as everyone says. Blended up chicken (rather than shredded), tasteless, and over-the-top expensive for what it is. The one bright spot was that our waitress seemed to be trying to make a bad situation better. If you have time, go somewhere (anywhere else) and come back through security.

I feel like I am piling on the worst rated resteraunt I have ever seen on Google but may 8th 2018 a Tuesday we walked in at 7:30 and were rudely told to leave they were closed. Guess I should have checked here first we wouldn't have wasted our time.

I should've downed a handle of tequila from the bar so that I wouldn't have remembered the service, food, or management. Management and processes need to be redone. Folks were friendly though

Quite possibly the worst meal of my life! I had the chicken enchaladas. Dont do it. Poor server worked very hard but the food was the worst.

I literally have no idea why this is a business/restaurant. The most terrible service and gray chicken. I am just waiting to get sick after eating the chicken quesadillas. This place needs to go away because I just wasted $25 hard earned dollars on terrible food that I have no doubt will make me sick. Zero stars, if it were possible to give zero, this place gets none

OVERPRICED ,BAD & COLD SUPPOSEDLY MEXICAN FOOD!!!My husband just had breakfast from here a couple of minutes ago. (I'm very glad I didn't WASTE my money for my breakfast) He orderred the breakfast eggs, barbacoa and potatoes dish. The tortillas were folded and wrapped in half and put in an aluminum foil, I'm assuming to keep them hot!! Well they were cold as if they just took them out the refrigerator. The potatoes had no taste and if they had a plastic coating over them, they were cold and not cooked appropriately. This place REALLY SUCKS!!! First impression are a big deal to me and like I said I'm glad I didn't order anything to eat.

Avoid. Everything else at the airport will be better than this. Ordered a quesadilla and some rice. Rice was mushy and seemed like the only flavoring was too much like juice from a bottle. The quesadilla was somehow doughy and basically reformed into a ball in my stomach. The chicken was pretty bad too.

Worst food I've ever had. The food? they serve is comparable to airplane food, but I've definitely taster much better on a plane. Oh yeah and the food is way over priced. Disappointed and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Server was nice and understanding though.

Look, this is overpriced mediocre Mexican food. But it's also in an airport, and one with minimal offerings at that. I had a serviceable vegetarian burrito and the staff was quick and friendly. It's certainly not a place I'd seek out but when you're stuck on a layover and need something to eat, it could be worse.

Do not go here! The see-thru margaritas are $12 a piece and there is an undertone scent of mop water to the restaurant.

Food was not that great and very expensive.

Get the veggie Quesadilla and ask for an extra salsa. Mainly because all the meat is prepackaged or canned. The VQ is big enough to split and actually good.

I am one of those who regret not checking the reviews before getting my food here. It was the worst I have ever had anywhere not just airports. I asked enchiladas vs. burritos, which was better and waiter said enchiladas were pretty good. I don't want to think how bad the burritos gotta be. The rice was probably minute rice. Burritos were probably purchased frozen and heated with microwave. $15+ for that is crazy. Airport management should do something about this place.

Their menu has a single vegan option, but they don't seem to serve it... KC is not a plant-based friendly town altogether. Was hoping to eat breakfast at the airport. The one place with a vegan menu item won't serve it to me.

I didn't have a chance to eat anything. My husband and I walked in thinking we would get a couple of margaritas, because our flight was delayed. The sign said seat yourselves, so we did. A few minutes later a waitress walks by, not even stopping, to say we're closed. There was no sign indicating that. She said well the kitchen is closed. My husband asked if we could get a margarita. She said we might have time for one, but not two. We asked what time do you close. She said in a little bit. She was rude, it was unprofessional, and the tables were filthy. We got up and left.

I came here with a group of friends while waiting for a plane transfer. I ordered a mixed strawberry & mango frozen margarita which delicious! I had also ordered the "Huevos Rancheros" which wasn't very appropriate to me. We also had a billing issues that was never properly resolved. One of my friends had ordered the "Barbacoa y Huevos" which is advertised on their menu as $12.49, but when we got our bills she was charged $15.39!!! We asked our waitress Christin if she could change the price to what was advertised and told us that there was nothing that she could do about it. She was able to take off a small 15% discount off the bill, but it still came out to more than the advertised price. Very disappointed with the customer service and the food. Was considering not giving any stars, but gave one for the margaritas.

No food after 4. Open tell 6;30 everything else is closed. As for drinks sorry were out of everything. Umm. Why are you open??

Agree with most of the other reviews. Really bad food, expensive, and unfriendly service. Unfortunately, it is almost the only place to eat at this airport.

I have had better Mexican food at Taco Bell. Expensive, not worth the money at all. I had a burrito and the rice was undercooked. They asked if I wanted anything else so I said quesadilla thinking I would be safe and I am not sure how you can make a bland quesadilla but they did it.

Only accessible after you check in to the gates. Airport prices, small portions, and just the blandest food. Only star here is for the service. Waitress did a fine job.

Waited 15 min and no one approached me. Staff were stadium behind the pillar next to the bar. Dirty place.

Taco salad comes with cold chicken....never ever seen a taco salad come with cold chicken.. thought I was playing it safe with taco salad...nope.....beef burrito wasn't bad...but your better off going to the pork and pickle...was pissed I wasted a meal and money here...

$20 for chips, salsa, and a small layer dip. Oh and a Pibb. Service worse than the food. Need to upgrade folks. As the only place to eat, there should be a line. I now know why there is not.

Decent grand margarita, horrible food. Actually wasn't in a rush, mid level crowd at 7 p.m., thought I try another place, what a mistake. Chicken in the enchiladas was non existant. Rice and refried beans, tasteless. Hope it was an exception, and I won't try it again. Server tried her best, but was overwhelmed. Management needs to listen to all these reviews.

I wished I had not been so tired when I landed and read all your reviews. I am from AZ and believe me when I say this food is the most tasteless Mexican food I have ever had. The tortilla soup tasted like vegetable soup out of a can. Zero taste!! The vegan tacos came out on cold flour tortillas. The only place they were like warm is where the innards were touching the tortilla. Please, please do not eat here. A lady just sat down beside me and I gave her the lowdown before she spent 25 dollars on a plate full of some bland, cold and very underrepresented Mexican food. This place is a shame to my culture. RUNNNNNNNNN!!!

Zero stars if I could... 14 dollars for chicken tacos... This was a first... The chicken literally treatetd like cardboard! No salt, no spice, no pepper, no nothing!It's like they boiled a pot of chicken, drained the water, put new water for it to sit in, and minced it up to put in tacos.DO NOT EAT HERE!

This place might be the worst of the worst airport food. The service leaves much to be desired. They must know the food is awful, because no one was even slightly concerned that we returned two full plates of food at the end. We're out $30 and had to walk to the other end for Pizza Hut to get food that was edible. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

I didn't think it was as bad as most people say, I got the vegan burrito. It wasn't great but wasn't horrible, side of rice and beans, beans were ok but rice was quite flavorless. In a pinch it was ok, Kansas City airport, btw

I got the pork burrito. Good portions, I'm very full after eating it, fyi I didn't get anything else (no drink, dessert, etc.) Good service, I would've given 5 stars if the food was more tasty, but it's this is the healthiest option I found. There is also a pizza place, Starbucks (flies crawling on all their food in their display...yummmm) so I will come back and eat here if I'm ever coming through Kansas City again and I'm hungry.

The food tastes like they buy all their products from the clearance section of the dollar store. Drinks are super over priced and not even good. 0/10. Wish I would have read the reviews before sitting down, they are spot on.

Horrible food. Table and floor were dirty. Do not recommend.
